Staccato beats of the bass drum
Causes the blood to flow, heart beats
Pulses quicken, bodies jolt to life
Uncontrolled hypnotic movements

Melodies of brass instruments
Harmonized with bursts of festivities
Colors speak the celebration

Innate rhythms of cowbells
Create vibrations entwined within
Regardless of the ungodly hour

Seemingly removed from themselves
Moving forward in their powerful dance
